We Also Have a Podcast

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

If you are new to our work, you may not be aware that we also do a podcast in conjunction with our brother’s site, Mainfinger.com.

It’s called “The Random Pirate Comic Show“, and can be found over at our Talkshoe page.
We generally talk video games, movies, cartoons and also give the heads up on our latest projects. Jesse and Geoffio also share music from their projects.

We’ll be recording the next episode this Sunday, and you can email us your questions, comments, etc. to randompiratecomics@gmail.com

Issue 3 at the printers!

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

I just wanted to let everyone know that our 3rd issue is at the printers now. I should have the preview copy for approval in the next few days.

Here is the cover art for the issue. If you like it, feel free to use it for a wallpaper or whatever:

We are printing through Ka-Blam this time around, so once it’s done it will be available to buy on their online store at Indy Planet.
If we like how things progress, we will be putting the rest of our books up on the store as well.

Special Announcement: Limited Edition HTBR Bottles have arrived!

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

Hey, gang! Hope everyone’s enjoying the new site. Here’s the scoop on this:

HTBR Jones soda bottle 1 [Oscar and Rob]

We’d really like to move our previous two t-shirt designs before we invest in printing up new ones, so I thought I’d provide a little incentive at the next Emerald City ComiCon (May 10th & 11th): Limited Edition Here There Be Robots Jones Soda bottles.

These are not for resale. So how do you get one? Simple: they’re free…to everyone who buys one of our t-shirts. This will help us to move our product, while providing you with a unique collector’s item. Here’s some facts about the bottles:

-Only 12 of each design will be made

-They will be signed and numbered for authenticity

-Jones Sodas are made with delicious pure cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, so if you decide to drink yours, well, who could blame you?

If response to this is good, I will definitely make more designs. I already have many ideas waiting in the wings: the robots (orange and cream), Miranda (blue bubble gum), even the Pandorca might make its way onto a bottle. The color of the soda would always match the character(s) in the design in some way, which is why this first design, featuring Oscar and Rob, is appropriately “alien” green.

Anyway, we’d love to hear what you think in the comments section! Thanks for reading!

-Jeremy

Sicky McSickerton

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Sorry I got way behind on the updates for the site. I’ve been sick for about a week now, and am finally feeling a little bit better today, though my voice has yet to return.

A quick update on Emerald City ComiCon;
It seems we will be getting our copies of issue 3  soon. They shipped a few days ago and should be here this week.
The bad news is the stickers most likely will not get here in time, so I may set up a way for people to get those through the site.

Stumble’d Upon

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

It looks like we’ve been getting some traffic from Stumble Upon lately, so welcome to everyone who has found the site this way!
And thanks to Astrogirl for writing our first review on there!

If you are a user, we’d love to see more reviews go up on the site.

In other news, the books were supposed to be here today, but UPS didn’t pull my box from the truck for will call like they were supposed to (big shocker), so I should have them in hand tomorrow.
